Pago Valdoneje Viñas Viejas is an elegant red wine from Bierzo, crafted from old Mencía vines, offering concentrated red and black fruit aromas, floral hints, and subtle mineral notes.

Vinification

Made from 100% Mencía grapes sourced from old vines (over 60 years) in the Bierzo region. Grapes are hand-harvested and fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The wine is aged for 12–14 months in French oak barrels, enhancing complexity and structure while maintaining fresh fruit character.

Tasting Notes

Displays a deep ruby color. The nose reveals aromas of ripe cherries, blackberries, violets, and subtle hints of spice and minerality. On the palate, it is full-bodied yet elegant, with fine tannins, balanced acidity, and a long, persistent finish.
